We’ve noticed some users are uploading the same files (like brochures, price lists, or spec sheets) multiple times for different transfers. We’re exploring a way to streamline this without turning Sinosend into a cluttered "Cloud Drive."
The Concept:
Instead of re-uploading, what if we had a Vault? A central place where you "deposit" your master assets once.
How it could work:
Tagging over Folders: Rather than a traditional folder structure, you would use Tags to organize assets. We're already using tags in Transfers & Requests.
Link, Don't Duplicate: When creating a new transfer or portal, you’d simply "reference" the file from your Vault.
Storage Impact: Since the system just "links" to the master file, it would only count against your storage quota once—no matter how many times you send it.
Why we’re considering this:
We want to keep Sinosend fast and lean. A Vault could potentially solve the duplicate upload issue while keeping your workspace organized. Also sometimes you want to upload a file for your self, not necessarily needing it to be transfered.
What do you think?
Does a "Vault + Tag" system sound useful for your workflow, or do you prefer the current "upload-per-transfer" method?
